नेकपा माओवादी केन्द्रलगायत ५ दलसँग मिलेर कांग्रेस गत मंसिरको चुनावमा सहभागी भएको थियो। तर त्यसबेला गठबन्धनमा रहेको दल माओवादीले चुनावपपछि नयाँ गठबन्धन गरेको छ भने कांग्रेस प्रतिपक्षमा पुगेको छ।
कांग्रेसले आज निर्वाचन परिचालन तथा प्रचारप्रसारमा खटिएका पार्टीका नेता/कार्यकर्ता लगायतलाई पनि धन्यवाद दिने कार्यक्रम छ।
चुनावअघि गठबन्धन गरिएको र चुनावपछि उक्त गठबन्धनलाई सभापति शेरबहादुर देउवाले जोगाउन नसकेको भन्दै कांग्रेसभित्र आलोचनासमेत भइरहेका छन्।
साथै कांग्रेसले चुनावी समीक्षा पुस २२ गते केन्द्रीय समिति बैठकबाट गर्ने तयारी पनि गरेको छ।
प्रतिनिधि सभामा कांग्रेसले ८९ सिट जितेको छ। कांग्रेसले प्रत्यक्षतर्फ १६५ निर्वाचन क्षेत्रमध्ये जम्मा ९१ मा पार्टीबाट उम्मेदवारी दिएको थियो भने अरू क्षेत्र गठबन्धनका अन्य दलका उम्मेदवारलाई समर्थन गरेको थियो।
