संसदीय दलको नेता बन्न मधेस प्रदेशका मुख्यमन्त्री लालबाबु राउत र पूर्वसभामुख सरोजकुमार यादवले उम्मेदवारी दिएका छन्।
यसअघि संसदीय दलको नेतामा अन्य आकांक्षीहरू देखिए पनि उनीहरूले यादवलाई समर्थन गरेको जसपा स्रोतको भनाइ छ।
मधेस प्रदेशमा जसपाका १६ जना सांसद छन्।
जसपाले केन्द्रमा पुष्पकमल दाहाल ‘प्रचण्ड’ नेतृत्वको सरकारलाई समर्थन गरेको छ। सत्ता गठबन्धनमा भएका दलहरूले मधेसमा मुख्यमन्त्री जनता समाजवादी पार्टी र सिके राउत नेतृत्वको जनमत पार्टीले आलोपालो चलाउने सहमति गरेका छन्।
उक्त सहमतिअनुसार सरकार बनेको खण्डमा आज जो जसपा संसदीय दलको नेता बन्छ उही नै मधेसको मुख्यमन्त्री बन्ने सम्भावना छ।
संसदीय दलको नेता छान्न आजै चुनाव हुने जनाइएको छ।
