झापाको शिवसताक्षी नगरपालिकामा हात्तीले हिजोआज आतंक मच्चाउन थालेको छ।
हात्तीको बथान गाउँ पसेपछि स्थानीय ज्यान जोगाउन घर छाडेर भाग्ने गरेका छन्।
शिवसताक्षी नगरपालिका वडा नम्बर ८ सम्झना चोकको दक्षिण क्षेत्रका ५ घर हात्तीले मंगलबार राती भत्काएको छ भने किसानले भण्डारण गरेको अन्न नष्ट गरिदिएको छ।
चार वटा हात्तीले एक महिनादेखि शिवसताक्षी नगरपालिकाका विभिन्न ठाउँमा घर भत्काउने, भण्डारण गरेका अन्न खाने, नष्ट गर्ने गरेको वडा अध्यक्ष सन्तकुमार फेउदिनले बताए।
हात्तीले गत साता एक जना महिलाको ज्यान लिएको थियो।
स्थानीय अनिस तामाङ, तिलबहादुर तामाङ, हस्तबहादुर लामा, राजकुमार राई र कृष्ण इजमको घर हात्तीले भत्काएको हो।
बेलुकी ११ बजेदेखि गाउँ पसेका हात्ती बुधबार बिहान ४ बजे जंगल फर्किएका थिए। रतुवामाई वृक्षारोपण आयोजनाको जंगल हातामा दिनभर बस्ने र रात परेपछि मानव बस्तीमा हात्ती पस्ने गरेका छन्।
जंगलबाट हात्ती गाउँ पसेपछि कतिपय स्थानीयले घर छोडेर हिँड्ने गरेका छन्।
‘राति हात्तीका बथानले घर भत्काउन थाल्यो’, स्थानीय तारा लावतीले भनिन्, ‘हात्ती आएको थाहा पाएपछि भागेर बालबच्चा जोगाउन सक्यौं।’
स्थानीय राजकुमार राईले हात्तीले आफूहरूको घर र पसल भत्काइदिएको बताए।
